Zonzo Wedding Day

We chose our venue, Zonzo wedding day, because Zonzo is just so pretty. We went there just to have brunch and we loved the view and how quiet it is when you stand out on the lawn. We never thought we could afford a venue like that but it turned out to be the cheapest. Zonzo Estate is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: We first met at a friends house in 2011. Our friend thought he was a good match maker and mentioned to us both in advance that he wanted to ‘set us up’.
After a few drinks we both thought each other was funny and down to earth. Daniel was very confident in his footy skills and I put Daniel in his place saying he couldn’t be that good hahah. Too many martinis later and the constant stirring from Sam (groomsman) we got each other on Facebook/numbers and we have been together ever since .

The Proposal: It was a 40 degree day. Daniel had a picnic in the Royal botanical gardens planned. Daniel did not realise it was going to be so hot until the day before. Quick change of plans and he proposed in the hotel room at Crown. Flowers, strawberries and a great view. He “faked “ proposed to me by presenting me with MY box of half eaten chocolates that I had left at his place. Then after I laughed it off he pulled out the ring. It was very exciting and we kept our proposal secret for the whole weekend as we wanted to enjoy time by ourselves without the 100 phone calls of congratulations.
