Wedding Venue Vue on Halcyon
We chose our Wedding venue, Vue on Halcyon, because I’ve known Dean since he sold hay for my horses! We have watched the location grow into a magnificent wedding venue and the passion that Dean and Rennae have is next to none. There was never another location that was going to come close to this. The alpacas also helped! Vue on Halcyon is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: We first properly met when Andrew was my brothers team mate at the Melbourne Grand Prix in 2009. It was easy, we just clicked. Despite our age difference it felt like we were just on the same page.
Our humor shone through straight away and conversation was easy!
The Proposal: Andrew proposed on 7th January 2023 – my birthday! I had booked a ride in a gondola on the Botanical Gardens lake. Before we got on the boat we were watching a wedding ceremony being set up – I love everything weddings and was excited to hopefully see the bride arrive whilst we were out there!
We got on our private boat tour with our guide and he was telling us the history and we were looking at all the turtles and beautiful sites. When we were in a secluded spot on the other side of the lake, Andrew said ‘can I hijack the boat?’ Here is me thinking ‘ you aren’t trained in driving this!!’. Little did I know as I was facing the other way looking he held the ring up to ask and before I could turn around he was on one knee.
I couldn’t answer as I was in tears, shock and complete happiness! Andrew thought I was going to say no, but little did he know I was just speechless!
