Wedding Venue Sandbar Cafe

We chose our wedding venue, Sandbar Cafe because we liked the idea of getting married by the water, and the beach is such an Aussie venue very different from the UK. We really hope the British weather doesn’t make an appearance!! The Sandbar Cafe is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: We first met working at a school south of London together in 2014. Steve is a PE teacher so Steph used to watch him teaching on the Astro Turf from her sister’s house which overlooked it! We crossed paths at work until we finally got to know each other. Steph thought Steve was so cool because he was Aussie and adventurous, and Steve thought Steph was really friendly and “cute.”
The Proposal: We got engaged on a beautiful walk on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Steph was super surprised yet we were both really happy. The ties at our wedding are made of Isle of Skye tartan.
