Wedding at B’Churrasco
Wedding at B’Churrasco. Jacynta and Michael said, about their wedding “The ceremony location was chosen because it’s Michael’s church. He’s been involved with his church since he was a child, going to services every week. His parents volunteer at the church and his sister’s godfather is his priest. I believe there’s only 2 Russian orthodox churches in Melbourne, so it was a fairly straight forward choice. That said, I’m not Russian orthodox, but I understand that religion is a big part of Russian culture. And anything that’s culturally symbolic is important to me. The restaurant, B’Churrasco was chosen after we went there for one of Michael’s work Christmas functions. The food was just amazing, we had a great night there, and the prices offered for the wedding were extremely competitive. It’s not far from the church, so we went with it.”

Jacynta said went asked about how they met “Michael and I met online in 2013. What was uncanny was that we lived one suburb away from one another, without realising. After a few online exchanges and phone calls, we agreed to meet each other for dinner. He had called me while I was waiting to meet him, asked me to close my eyes, which I did, and the next thing I remember is him kissing me gently on the cheek. I opened my eyes and just thought that he was both handsome and romantic. I don’t know what Michael’s first thoughts of me were, but I guess they were positive coz the first date was awesome, as was everything that was to come afterwards. The proposal took place on 2nd September 2016. I already knew it was coming though. I knew that Michael had bought me a ring. We went out for dinner and a movie, and then afterwards, he took me to the place where we first met and asked me to marry him. Despite already knowing it was coming, I was ecstatic.”
“It’s a Cara Mia dress from Ferrari Formal and Bridal. But honestly, it was the only dress in store that fit me and it looked good, so I just bought it. I really wasn’t particular and didn’t have a “dream” dress in mind. Quick Shape Hair in Brunswick, the hairdresser I’ve been going to for about 7 years. Make up is by Nanette Make Up.” Canterbury Road Flower Gallery, Heathmont supplied the flowers and the cake was made by Dolce Espresso, Doncaster Shoppingtown.
The wedding photography was taken at B’Churrasco & Pokrov Russian Orthodox Church.
