Wedding at Aunty Kims

We chose our venue, Aunty Kim’s for the wedding, because I felt it reflected a lot of Filipino values that I enjoy. Dan has always wanted to get married at the Botanic Gardens. Aunty Kims and the Botanical Gardens is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: Dan and I met through friends, we all went over to his Dad’s house. Dan and I played a game of table-tennis together, we both said that we felt like we could be best friends. I thought Dan was enigmatic, had a great smile and I liked hearing him laugh – I thought, “I could listen to him laugh everyday for the rest of my life”. Dan said he thought “she’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen in my life”.

The Proposal: It took place in the backyard. Dan said he was “so overcome with excitement” that he thought he was going to have a heart-attack. I felt very lucky and cried for the rest of the day.
