Venue Vue on Halcyon

We have been at this winery / venue -Vue on Halcyon before and it had been a couple of years to our relationship. We knew we were heading in the direction where soon we were ready to commit to each other. So, when the ambience was romantic, and we were having one of those days where we were particularly grateful of having each other in our lives — we both thought that when we get married, we should get married here. Vue on Halcyon is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: Cailin and I met online through a dating app. Based on the descriptions on the profile we felt that each of us was looking for something more meaningful, long-term and genuine. Unlike others our love story wasn’t instantaneous but more like a slow and steady burn that turned into this beautiful relationship that is underpinned by respect for one another and of course love, likeness and care.

The Proposal: Rahul booked a cottage in the Yarra Valley over a weekend, this cottage had a wood pizza over (italian style) — our first virtual date we had a nice pizza and win, so Rahul trying to replicate the memory. We had nice wine, and nice music was playing in the background. Basically he set the scene — and the views were amazing from our cottage. Naturally, after the environment was adding to the mood — Rahul got down on one knee and before he could finish saying more than two words, I said YES!
