Stones Yarra Valley Wedding
Stones Yarra Valley Wedding was where Lisa & Lincoln had there wedding. “Lincoln loves his wine, and one thing we love doing together is discovering new places to eat and drink. We had both always thought, independently of each other, that when we got married, we’d like it to be in the Yarra Valley. We looked at a few other venues, but when we drove up the driveway of Stones, there was no question that we’d found the perfect venue. It is stunning, elegant yet relaxed, and we loved that it’s all in the one location.”
The wedding photography all took place at Stones of the Yarra Valley. Lisa said “My whole philosophy with this wedding has been to keep it as simple and understated as possible. So we are just going with what Stones has available.”

The proposal
After receiving many hints from me about how slow he was in proposing, Lincoln managed to keep the whole thing a secret. He started looking at getting a ring made 3 months before the proposal, which I had no idea about. I was quite the detective, and suspected that something was ‘suss’ on the day he did it, but he still managed to take my breath away.
It was 2 days before Christmas and he arranged for Mum to look after our 2 dogs. I found this strange for a ‘date night’, but didn’t question it as I was secretly hoping that ‘tonight would be the night’!
There is nothing I love more than a rooftop bar, so he took me to the place we spent our 1 year anniversary – the QT hotel in the city. We had pre-dinner drinks on the rooftop, then went to their wonderful restaurant. At the end of the meal, he went for a ‘toilet’ break to gather his thoughts. When he came back, he got down on one knee in the restaurant and popped the question. Even though I’d been hinting and investigating in the lead up, he still took me by surprise and made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. The final surprise for the night was being taken up to a room to spend the night, which marked the start of days of celebrating!
Lincoln and I met on Tinder!
Along with his profile, one of the things that drew me to him was that we had a mutual friend in common. This friend, Blair, is going to be our Celebrant on the day too! He was drawn to a picture of me drinking red wine, which is one of his passions.
When we met, it was like everything just fell into place. We met for an afternoon drink at a bar in Richmond and we got along like a house on fire. We drank, laughed and chatted for hours. What was going to just be an afternoon drink turned into a 13 hour date, and we never looked back. I have never met someone who made me feel so at ease. I never had to question anything about what he said, how he felt about me or where I stood.
