Their first meeting

“We first met face to face at “THE” meeting place in Melbourne, namely under Flinders Street station clocks. Before that there was a month or so of courtship complete with long letters and trying to gage each other. Face to face, my first thoughts were, I like that girl. Sanglee’s first thoughts about me was “He looks a little shy”. The proposal took place in Kyneton, at Source Dining during Grand Final holiday. After first and main, that both of us enjoyed and before dessert I popped the question. Sanglee did not expect and took time to think through and articulate why she accepted. By that time the dessert arrived and had time to melt (it was sorbet). And somehow one of my dress shoes that I wore on occasion split.”
