Maria and Sam said “they chose Holy Rosary in Kensington for their ceremony because it’s a beautiful church, good size, feels intimate and has a lovely priest. They also chose Sails on the Bay for their reception as we love the beach and we love the view of the shore from the reception. Like the church, we also love how it feels intimate and cosy.” The beach in Port Melbourne and on Elwood beach by Sails on the Bay for the wedding photography. The flowers were supplied by Lilac and the Cat and the hair and makeup was done by Nanette hair and makeup artist.
Maria also said “We met each other at uni. We were in a lab class together and partnered up for an activity. First thoughts: we clicked instantly and felt that we could be ourselves around each other. We were very happy when we found out that we had all the same classes together. We became best friends after that and we have been inseparable since :) Sam and I went out for dinner at a restaurant near the Williamstown pier. Williamstown was special because that was the first place we went to together when we first became friends. After dinner we went for a stroll on the beach. As the sun was setting Sam got down on one knee and proposed. I (Maria) had no idea it was coming. It was a huge surprise! Lots of crying followed (tears of joy). Sam was happy/relieved that I said yes 5 minutes later (after all the crying).”
