Immerse Winery Wedding Day
We chose our venue, Immerse Winery Wedding Day, Yarra Valley. I took Jen for a trip to Yarra Valley because she loves wine and the minute we walked into Immerse she got emotional and said this is it. We loved the roses and onsite accommodation and could just see it all happening here. Immerse in the Yarra Valley is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met:
We met in India 3 years ago in Jan on a 15-day tour of India and Nepal. It was an incredible trip. We both, unbeknownst to each other went there one person and came back another. We couldn’t shake the thoughts of each other once we got home and started to chat. This led to several international visits and 2 years of a long-distance relationship.
When I first met Jen, she struck me as very friendly and everyone wanted to be around her because of her funny stories. Under the surface, I could see there was a lot more going on and I was curious to find out more. She was on my mind for the entire trip and when I left Kathmandu airport, I strongly felt that I was flying in the wrong direction (far away from London, which is where she lived at the time).
When I first met Janine, the first thing that struck me (at the first group meeting we had) was when she said she was in India on a spiritual journey. That’s right up my alley and I was intrigued to get to know her more. But she did stare a lot for those few weeks and everyone noticed except me – until we had some drinks one night and the truth came out! I think I’d been in denial about my sexuality for quite a few years, but there was no denying this one, so here we are today.
The Proposal:
Jen had come to Australia to visit me and we took a trip down the Great Ocean Road which happened to be my birthday weekend. We went out for dinner in Apollo Bay and afterwards back to a cute little cottage we had rented. We were sat watching comedy on TV and out of nowhere she asked me. I
(Jen) had no plans to ask whatsoever but I did and she said yessss!! it was exciting and terrifying at the same time.
