Hotel Barkly Wedding
We chose a Barkly Hotel wedding because we wanted a laid back, casual and mainly non traditional wedding. Basically we just wanted to have a big party with all of our friends and family, getting the formalities out of the way as early as possible. We love that the Barkly Hotel is not a typical wedding venue, rather a night club type venue and that it may throw guests a bit that it sits above a backpackers! Hotel Barkly St Kilda is where the wedding photography took place.

How we met: We met at a music festival in 2011, completely randomly, none of the same friends or anything. It was during one of our favourite DJ’s. We got together more officially about a year later!

The Proposal: Daniel knew he wouldn’t be able to surprise me easily so we had planned to go on a bit of a bar crawl in the city one day. While I was getting ready, he called me into the other room and was down on one knee. He then told me we were going to spend the night in the city.
I’ll also just add that we are not super romantic, gushy people and often make a joke out of gushy romantic things!
