Fun Baxter Barn Wedding

We chose a fun Baxter Barn wedding, because it has that great country/rustic feel that we wanted. It’s such a versatile area that is so beautiful it doesn’t even need any dressing for the event – the beauty is all in the location itself. We also love the ease of being able to have the ceremony and reception in one place as well as being able to provide some food, drinks and entertainment for our guests whilst we are having our photos done. The wedding photography was taken at the Baxter Barn.

Huw and I met on Tinder – I knew I was going to marry him right from the first date. He was just so funny and didn’t take himself too seriously, it’s impossible not to have a good time when you’re with him. Huw says that I looked better in real life than in the photos on Tinder and that he knew I was someone special right from when we first started talking on Tinder.

The propsal

Huw proposed to me on a winter getaway to Alexandra Headlands in July 2016. We had just checked into our beach side apartment… I left the room for a few minutes and came back to the bedroom where Huw got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in shock to be honest, and I asked him if he was joking… and then I realised he wasn’t! It was amazing.
