How we met: We met through mutual friends and we had an instant connection.
The Proposal: The proposal took place in our back yard. I was shocked, but he’s not very good at keeping secrets so he was acting differently so I kind of picked up that something was going to happen soon.
Flowerdale Estate
When the original homestead was built, it took almost 3 years. The King Parrot Creek runs through the Estate which prompted one of the first squatters in the area, Robert Farquhar McKenzie, to establish a 10,000 acre sheep run in 1838. To help put this in perspective; Melbourne was first settled by John Batman in 1835! Today Flowerdale Estate is a family owned and operated business.
With many years of experience in the service and hospitality industry, and surrounded by our team of professional and dedicated staff, our aim is to make every part of your stay with us a most enjoyable and successful one. The 130 acres surrounding Flowerdale Estate is still being farmed, with a strong commitment to conservation and regeneration of the native environment.
