Daryna and John chose the Toorak Uniting church because “it just had such a warm feel, which was really nice. We instantly felt comfortable and welcome there.”
“We chose Quat Quatta for our wedding reception because of its classic elegance, which is exactly in line with the style of wedding we wanted. The service we received was amazing from the very beginning, so we knew we would be in good hands.” The wedding photography was taken at Quat Quatta and at Toorak Uniting Church. The bridesmaids wore navy dresses from the Rodeo show Bridemaid Edit collection. Daryna said “They are all beautiful girls, so it was so easy to find something that worked.”
Daryna also said “John and I met at work. I was the first person to greet him on his first day and I remember going home that night and telling my housemates about my good looking new boss, who I had a secret crush on. He did the same. He eventually became my manager and it took us 5 months before we finally got together. We tried to keep it a secret for a little while, but I don’t think were fooling anyone. Our colleagues knew we were going to end up together before we did! The proposal took place at the Langham hotel. “John took me aside before we headed to dinner and showed me a photobook he prepared of our time together. He was acting very awkward and nervous, so I thought something was up, but I definitely didn’t expect him to propose! He got on his knee and asked me to marry him! It was the sweetest thing and he got me the most gorgeous ring he spent many weekends looking for, telling me he was “car shopping” with his mum. I later found out he also asked my mum for my hand in marriage and for her blessing before he proposed.
There was no doubt in my mind from the day that I met him that he was the right person for me, so it was an easy YES.
We celebrated that night with lots of champagne. It was definitely one to remember.”
