When asked about the wedding ceremony and reception locations, Amy said “I wanted something with an outdoor feel. I loved the chairs and floorboards of the boulevard, it felt ever so slightly rustic yet classy enough for Melbourne. It has windows all around that look out to golf course so it feels like you are further away from Melbourne that what we actually are. The boulevard seemed like a great option that had a similar feel. I love Como house as I have previously worked at a wedding there before, many years ago, and remember thinking it would be an ideal wedding spot. We wanted a garden wedding and looked at other possible outdoor places. Being September we needed a good backup plan as weather is so unpredictable. Como offered this with their indoor option being right at the same venue so seemed perfect!” Kelli and Lanie from Magical Makeovers did the hair and makeup and Charis White conducted the wedding ceremony at Como House. Pomp and Splendor provided the flowers and Always Classical Car drove the couple around. Ministry of Cakes supplied the cake and all the wedding photography was taken at Como House and at the Boulevard in Kew.
Amy continued “We met on eHarmony however we don’t make a big deal of that… we usually talk about our first meeting with was a couple drinks at The National in Richmond. We were both instantly attracted to each other and got along really well from day 1. We both agree that we both thought each other was good looking, fun and easy going. Chris proposed on the pier in Cairns on April 4th 2016. This was the place of our first holiday together where we celebrated our 1 year anniversary in 2013. Chris gave me this holiday (this year) for my birthday with the intention of proposing.”
